Our Story

Huhh was founded by the three sisters, Leonora, Louise, and Alana, whose love for design stems from a perspective curated over the years. The sisters were introduced to batik and wayang at an early age in their grandmother’s house. As they grew older, their interest in the stories hidden in everyday life, connecting cultures, history, and society, deepened. Thus, what drove them to design is its function as a transitional form—a vehicle for storytelling and coming together. Today, this ethos is still reflected in Huhh Bags. Tactile and combining traditional techniques and motifs, they are recontextualized as storytelling devices within objects imbued with meaning and familiarity. Deliberating on and exploring the intangible connections between each other, their work highlights the power of shared experiences to foster kinship.
