“Should I let the outside world influence my choices? Or am I willing to get to know myself and embark on that journey inward?”
Living and being in between in cultures, in an in-between land, comes with the inward journey. The gathering and gaining of experience, and the learning of the history, culture and the laws of this land.
Gloria Anzaldue, in her book La Frontera, addresses the significance of belief systems within the context

As such the work embodies this inward process of collecting, negotiating, building and destroying; all within our in-between land.
