“We will soon be the next ancestors and what will we leave behind?” For who do we labor? And who has paved the way for us? Our ancestors have played an instrumental role in bringing us to this borderland, this space of cultural in-betweenness. As we continue to nurture and shape this space, we are mindful of leaving a legacy for future generations. The fifth frame in the collection serves as a tribute to our ancestors, paying homage to those who have guided us into this borderland. Positioned between the mirror and my ancestors, I am reminded of the path they have paved, a path that I will eventually traverse myself.
