“We become stronger together. So it’s no longer just my story All the time. But we gradually grow.”
Inspired on passementerie, the work extends beyond its boundaries; a parallel to the expansion and interconnectedness of experiences. A patchwork of identities, each with their own unique identity and displaying the interwovenness of the betweenness. The work is an exclamation of found belonging in the collective space, a tapestry of intertwined personal narratives. It epitomized the philosophy of Marginalia: No longer us and them, but us and us. The frame extends the borders, allowing for growth and the creation of new connections. The borderland itself is an undefined and boundless space, spilling over its edges into uncharted territory.
